On 26.11.88 G.O.C. was told by WO about the Auxiliary Forces and he objected to the proposed Militia Scheme and mines (150) saying he could not rely on them but proposed 30 men for Fortress garrison instead. No decision has been reached on this point.
I think it would be a good thing to write to the Governor encouraging him on these papers & ask him about the Artillery, counters of which C.d.S. proposed a full development vary a good deal at present.
